Well the 2010 BUB meet is in the books and we had another great year!
It was truly my honor to work the 3 mile again this year and see old friends and make some new ones.
This year my Mom was able to escape the Admin trailer for a couple of days so I made her the official photographer for the 3 mile and told her to take pictures of everything.
Well she did! so Bob's Salty Blog has 5 pages of pictures for the 2010 BUB event!
I have so many pictures I need Everyone's help!
If you see your picture on my website please send me an E-mail with your story! I would like to know your bike number, your name, where you are from and your results. Please also include any stories, dirty jokes, advise for new riders, website address to more information about your team and what ever else you can think of. If you include pictures in 600x800 JPG format I will add them to the site and give you all the credit.
I also urge everyone who has never visited Carman”s Black & White Bar to put it on your list for next year. This Gal has built a shrine to all things Bonneville and is truly a treasure to the land speed racing community!
Thank you Carman for all you do!
I would also like to thank all the other volunteers at this years event!
We had many new people and lots of volunteers who have volunteered for years.
I am proud to call myself a member of this team.
Lastly I wish to thank Denis Manning for the opportunity he has provided us all! Thank you BUB!
PLEASE, send me your stories and info.So here you go, The View from the 3 Mile!
The people in the red shirts!
This is the hardest working volunteer crew in motorsports!
Please give them respect, your full attention and a cookie.
Keith Ball (Bandit) entered this sweet little bike.

These next pictures are of the scruitanering line on Saturday morning.

This bike is a great place to start!
#1326 Big Inch Racing, Rider David Bozzie, Auburn California
This bike evokes a lot of Spiritualism.
I heard lots of people saying things like
"O My God" and "Holy Sh*t!"

#781, 2004 Buell, Rider Rachel Keown, Glendale California

When money is no object, the sky is the limit!
#9532, Function before form, Rider : David Pettet.
Sometimes a picture can say a thousand words.
Where else could a would be racer compete in a world class motorsports event,
on a ledgendary race course,
with this kind of buget? ...Anyone?
If you have ever heard Denis Manning's "I had a Dream" speach I am
pretey sure he was talking about this guy.
He put one foot in front of the other untill he got to Bonneville!
David, I would love to hear the rest of this story! E-Mail

Z-Man and the FRCP
Racing Team are back!
This team has never missed a BUB event and are truly nice folks.
Rider Kenneth Zetterquest, Chico California.

This Restoration was beautyfully done. This bike realy looked new!
Rider John Otto 1951 Triumph

It is hard to see but this is an A-10 Warthog buzzing the course
and pits about 100 feet off the deck.
For me this is the cherry on top! Every year the military treats us to a free
air show.
I wish I could personaly thank these guys and tell them how much their fly overs
mean to a lot of us.
If you happen to meet one, please pass along the message.

Look just above the admin trailer!

How cool is that!

This is AMA Ken (Left) and his Son Kenny Jr (Right). guarding
the entrance to the tech line of the first day.
Tech is closed for the day and no more riders are allowed to get in line.
If you look close you will see another A-10 fly over.

I am humbeled to be in the presense of this machiene!
Please send info. E-Mail

Joe's bike just before Tech.

I love these smaller old school bikes!

Then we have the 1300 bike!
This is a 1936 Indian and in my opinion one of the most beautiful machines to
ever grace the salt.
Rider: Jeremy Bolduc, Roseburg Oragon

This is Laurence Saxton, the owner of the 1936 Indian.
Laurence, Please share the story of this bike with us! E-Mail

If this motorcycle does not get your blood pumping you are probably on the wrong website,

Where to start! Who would think to do this?
The quality of this build would make Honda proud.
Please share your story! E-Mail

Soichiro would be very proud!

O Look! another bike built from the ground up to go fast on
the salt!
